Weapons Template

All templates are in max6 format. so they should be able to be opened with max6 and above.

1. when opening a scene it will ask if you would like it resized or to adopt the units file size. " select adopt unit file size".

2.import your model to a template that works best for the gun you have in mind.

you will need to rotate and resize your gun according to the gun in the template, as well as place it over it.

also while in max look at the gun in the template " make sure you use the same number names on your gun pieces."

3. save and open in the oed i find the oed that came with the bhd mod tools works fine." not the super oed".

check your textures and all that stuff. you will not need to do any part animations. all you will be doing is loading your model in the oed and saving it to 3di.

4. if your working on bhd your gun should be done.

if your working in jo then use dvs 3di conversion tool. " Do Not Click panam".

you can run the guns through the super oed as well but i think the scaling may be off. thats why i just use the bhd oed.

5. each template was made to work with the animations that the game offers." so if you use mp5 template then use the "animadm_mp5_1st" you can experiment with other gun "animadm" so will work with some wont.

these are the only templates i have done they cover each type of weapon class. if any one needs one of the others done please let me know i will see what i can do. all hands should work flawless with guns.
